Itinerary

Early morning meet and greet with your driver guide at 4:30AM for a quick briefing ahead of a 2.5hours road transfer to Volcanoes National park. Upon arrival at the park's office in Kinigi, enjoy a cup of coffee and traditional dances as park authorities gear up for briefing and Gorilla trekking etiquette to guide your journey into the jungle. You will be randomly allocated a Gorilla Group and after that, drive to the starting point where your trek in search of Gorillas starts. Please note the trek can take anything from 1 to 8 hours depending on the movements of Gorillas. Once you have spotted and spent the usually described as the Magical One hour with a family of Mountain Gorillas, doing what they do best: eating fresh stems, bamboo shoots, roaring and beating up their chest or sleeping. You can take pictures (with no flash), or you could simply watch the gentle giants, their features, movements, gestures etc. It is such an intimate moment that the hour will seem to fly by. Make this adventure memorable in your own way; only keep in mind the Gorilla Trekking Etiquette. Hike back for a refreshment lunch before driving back to Kigali. Drop-off at your residence hotel. Itinerary

4:30 AM : Departure from Kigali early in the morning (around 4:30 AM) and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 2-3 hours from Kigali to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Upon arrival, meet your guide for a briefing about the hike. After the briefing, drive 40 minutes to the trailhead. You will have the opportunity to hire porters to help you with your extra luggage. Start the hike to Mount Bisoke, which is at an elevation of 3,711 meters (about 22,373 feet). The round-trip hike takes approximately 6-7 hours. Trek through lush vegetation, crossing bamboo forests and open meadows. Reach the summit and be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and the stunning Crater Lake. Descend back to the trailhead and drive to a local restaurant for lunch before returning to Kigali. END OF THE TOUR !
